Conceptual Design: Developing a preliminary program and offering ideas for interweaving the relationships, function and form in broad terms.

Schematic Design: Utilizing the conceptual design as a base point, this phase will be to further develop one or two of the design concepts. Preliminary code investigation begins at this stage.

Design Development: Selecting a schematic design, it is further explored and expanded upon by addressing the systems to be used; i.e., structural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing.

Construction Documents: At this stage the project is detailed to the point of providing enough information to bid and construct the project.

Construction Administration: The architect works to ensure that the specified materials are used and the overall design is carried out by the contractor. Site visits, review of shop drawings and problem solving are provided.
